I’ve done sport right from a young boy, but however much I put into it, I didn’t manage to make it my profession. Today I’ve found success in other professions, largely thanks to what sport taught me. There aren’t any shortcuts: what I have achieved has been the result of hard work, ambition, ability, some good mentors and great teammates. When I have failed, it’s been because I wasn’t properly prepared or perhaps because the objective was too ambitious; in any case it has never been the fault of others, only ever my own.
